Dealing with the passive-aggressive manipulator in your life

Post by Beth McHugh »

We all come across these people. Their hallmark is getting you to do something that you don't want to do, but they do it so subtly that there is really nothing concrete that you can put a finger on and say: "here is where you overstepped the mark!". And if you do, they can easily slip out of the situation by making light of it or, alternatively, twisiting it around and making you the one who has the problem.

This type of behavior is not a mental illness in itself but does come along for the ride in some mental illnesses. But it occurs in everyday life as too. But if you are in a relationship with one or work for one, it does make life hard.

I have written some articles on this way of comminicating. You can find them http://mental-health.families.com/blog/ ... -the-house.

Once you have read the first article, there are further links to other articles on dealing with this type of behavior in your life.

Best wishes,

Beth
